Adaptive Healing respects the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and personal health information. This policy describes how inquiries through this website are handled and distinguishes general messaging from clinical records.
Contact and appointment inquiries
When you contact Adaptive Healing by WhatsApp, SMS or email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details and appointment request. This information is used to respond to inquiries, arrange appointments and communicate with you.
Reasonable efforts are made to protect the confidentiality of communications. However, ordinary messaging services are not intended for sharing sensitive health information. Please avoid sending detailed medical histories, test results or other sensitive personal health information through these channels.
Clinical records and Ontario privacy law
Official clinical records are maintained separately from general appointment inquiries. Personal health information is handled in accordance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA), which establishes requirements for the collection, use, disclosure, retention and protection of personal health information.
Information shared through messaging may still be subject to privacy obligations, and clinically relevant communications may need to be documented in the official patient record. Patients may request access to or correction of their personal health information, subject to applicable law.
Third-party services and website technology
WhatsApp, SMS, email, maps and social-media links involve third-party services with their own privacy practices. Website hosting may involve processing standard technical information, such as connection and access logs, needed to operate and secure the website. Please consult the privacy policies of those services where appropriate.
